Movement & Tolerances

This clip shows the way in which the façade and its parts accommodate the building movement with provided tolerances in unitised systems with spigots.

The selected interfaces were deemed to be most critical for ensuring sufficient tolerances for deflection and thermal movement. The shown areas are often found to have numerous issues in accommodating the movement of the structure and parts of the façade build-up. The video may also touch upon the specific areas of interface with an emphasis on a particular component of the interface to highlight any potential and underlining risks related to movement and the sequence of installation.
