Movement and Tolerances in Unitised Systems without Spigots
This case study explores the accommodation of movement and tolerances in unitised curtain walling facades without spigots. The course pays particular attention to the movement of curtain walling units and their fixing to the front of the slab. The movement and tolerances of the façade were achieved with all standard systems (profiles, fixings, subframes, etc). The unitised curtain walling creates a robust envelope of the building. The case study includes video tutorials, drawings and 3D models to achieve the best learning outcomes.
