Movement and Tolerances in Lightweight Steel Framing
This case study explores the accommodation of movement and tolerances in the lightweight steel framing. The course pays particular attention to the movement of vertical studs and horizontal tracks. The movement and tolerances of the façade were achieved with all standard systems (profiles, fixings, subframes, etc). The steel arrangement forms a robust framing for the rest of the envelope. The case study includes video tutorials, drawings and 3D models to achieve the best learning outcomes.
