13:00-13:45 THU 28 January
Hello, you are invited to the 'lunch-break' webinar series by Facade Institute. The scheduled workshop webinar is on the principles of designing robust rainscreen facade. The session will cover the key performance areas and features of the standard rainscreen cladding systems.
The webinar will include a detailed presentation by the host, who will showcase the methods of achieving a cost-saving, as well as improved performance and buildability.
The showcased solutions will include the standard and off-the shelves systems. The abutments and the façade interfaces represent the robust assemblies to preserve the default properties of the standard components and proprietary systems.
The webinar will discuss the aspects as follows:
- The size of ventilated cavities and their compartmentation.
- Type of rainscreen cladding materials and how they may affect joints sizes.
- Backing wall, substructure and their effect onto the joints sizes and joint patterns.
At the end of the session, you will have an opportunity to ask the host a question.
This webinar was developed specifically for the current members of the Facade Institute and selected architectural practices, students and their supervisors in architecture, architectural science, structural engineering and construction technology.
